Targeting SuccessTargeting Success

Most successful business owners would agree that keeping a sharp eye on your business is one of the keys to reaching your goals. And by keeping a sharp eye, they mean understanding what is going on in your business, identifying what is making you money, knowing when to change, and measuring your results. The best way to measure your results is through a computer software program like Solis. Solis provides you detailed information about your clients, merchandise, tanning packages, memberships, services, and your employees.


Targeting Your Clients

The first step in targeting your clients is to discover who is spending money in your business. And more specifically what age groups and what postal codes they live in. Once you have this information, you can launch a target specific email or direct mail campaigns to the age groups and areas that will produce the best results. By focusing your marketing dollars on these people, you will save money and have much greater success then doing a simple blanket mailer to a postal code.

Client Demographics

Solis provides a tool that will help you identify the age groups and the postal codes of the clients that make up your business. You can apply any of the client filters, adjust the age brackets, and select the revenue date range for the graph.

 

The Compare Age Groups options will show you the percentage of revenue each age group has generated for your business during the selected date range.

 

The Compare Postal Codes options will show you the percentage of revenue each postal code has generated for your business during the selected date range.

 

Emailing Your Clients

Getting your message across to your clients has never been easier with e-mail and Solis makes this process simple. You select which clients you want to send your email to by using the filter option and you can screen out clients that don’t want to receive promotional emails.

 

If the client changes their mind about promotional emails, you can select or deselect the Bulk E-Mail flag at any time in the client editor.

 

You create your message body with any word processor or html editor. You can keep it simple with a text editor, or get elaborate with html. You can customize your message by using special insertion codes that will fill in the client’s name, address, and email address. In the example screen image above, we have included a PDF file as an attachment, which will show a full product image of the item we have on sale during that month.

Direct Mailing Your Clients

Direct mailers are another way to keep your customers coming back to your business. Solis provides a feature that will print mailing labels for your direct mail item or it can export the data to a CSV format for your mailing house to work with.

 

Targeting Your Clients By Services And Tanning Packages 

To take your marketing efforts to the next level, we introduced a new feature in version 2 that gives you the ability to target your clients based on the services or tanning packages they have purchased; or for that matter have not purchased.

You might want to select only the customers that have purchased a specific tanning package for an upcoming offer.

Or perhaps, you may be putting a tanning package on sale and don’t want to send the mailer/coupon to customers that have just purchased. No sweat, here you just exclude customers that have purchased the tanning package in the last 2-3 months.

Which brings us to another feature; you can select the data range for when to include or exclude clients in your marketing. For example, you may want to select clients that have purchased a specific service in the last three months for an upcoming special.

 

You can export your mailing list to file or you can print the labels yourself on Avery 5160 or 5167 labels.

The goal of this feature is to give you control over which clients receive your market material.
